Known as the Yoga of the Aquarian Age or the Yoga of Awareness, Kundalini Yoga aims to cultivate the creative, spiritual potential each of us is capable of achieving as we speak Truth and live our lives based on the values of compassion, love, and consciousness. Practicing Kundalini Yoga not only allows us to heal ourselves, but as a result, we help heal the collective consciousness. Our Kundalini Shakti, or female energy, lies dormant at the base of our spine until it is awakened. This allows us to deepen our connection to our spiritual journey and to our Divine Source itself as we work on the expansion of our consciousness through its awakening. As the Kundalini energy rises up the spine, it uncoils and triggers awakened states of consciousness which we are here to then maintain as we aim to live in these higher states of consciousness. With the ability to navigate through time and space, a simple exercise can literally shift your energy, bringing you more clarity and awareness.
This powerful technology consciously combines prana breath, mudras, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to help balance our glandular system, calibrating and strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and to help purify our blood as we find the balance to our mind, body, and spirit.
Found in all spiritual teachings, Kundalini is described through various languages, terms, and symbolism. Helping guide us to live our Truth, Kundalini does not seek to alter a person’s spiritual orientation or lineage, rather, it allows the individual to deepen their own Truth as it helps build on their spiritual beliefs.
What was once a secret technology, Yogi Bhajan openly brought Kundalini to the West during the height of the hippie era in the late 60s. His purpose for teaching Kundalini to the Western World was to prepare humanity for the very changes we are experiencing on this planet today. While as a collective we are experiencing the transition from the Piscean Age to the Aquarian Age, this ancient technology is here to help with this powerful and monumental transition with grace and ease.
